Mohit & Sanya

The suite was a perfect combination reflecting family values that Mohit holds and the way in which he is artistic and thoughtful about new concepts. Mohit wanted me to incorporate some fresh colors and ideas and trusted me wholeheartedly for the recommendations I made to him. We finalized to work around the color palette of turquoise and gold which cam out beautifully on paper.

The fun part was the breezy lettering style for the keywords, totally in sync with Mohit’s personality. Assorted modern floral elements were best suited for the suite and I did all of these as line drawings.

Since it was a destination wedding that lasted for three days, the suite included the main invite, another insert with the invitation to Sagan and Mehendi and a Details insert. All the inserts were put in a folder which opened to Ganesh Mantra and had RSVP details on the inner closing side. The folder was then put into the envelops which were sealed with wax with a tree of life and heart stamp.

The prints were done on a pearl finish metallic paper with a combination of gold foil-press and digital printing.

The custom suite also featured vellum scrolls tied with silk ribbon into a perfect bow. And these had the most important message for all the family and friends. The essence of the wedding which was all about how this marriage is about to bring together not only Sanya & Mohit but also their families- celebration of their love and new beginnings. I hand painted each scroll on the corners with golden metallic paint.

Along with the invitations, the guests were presented a metallic tray of baklawa sweets. The scrolls were crafted specially to fill up the centre slot in the tray, with sweets on both the sides.

It was a dream come true for me to work with Mohit for his wedding invitations. The “Sahit” monogram was also done as a laser cut welcome signage. All the wedding stationery including the return favors, tags, itineraries, key card covers etc also had the monogram to keep the tone of the wedding intact. This truly made my heart sing.

What a lovely suite! I’m thankful to Mohit and glad to be a part part of this wonderful wedding.
